My wife Alice had me drive all over the local area and was headed up to the lake and we became lost. She said lets head for Greune and have lunch. It was well worth the 6 hour drive that day and what a beautiful place. We were given a mini tour of the Gruene Mansion and just fell in love with it. Of course we set up plans to come up in late April and stay two nights. The bill is paid and we are ready to go dancing, how about you?

We moved to the New Braunfels area almost 8 years ago. We eat in Gruene several times a year and love the atmosphere. We recently got tickets to see Robert Earl Keen and Gruene Hall and I decided to surprise my husband with a room at Gruene Mansion Inn for that night so that we would be able to have a "few beers" and not worry about driving home (which is 5 minutes away-lol). We ABSOLUTELY loved it. We were in Harriet's Haus #27 which has a king size bed on the ground floor. The room was fabulous. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful. My husband tends to be a little picky and he was comopletely won over. The ladies that prepare the breakfast were the best. The whole Inn is just laid back.....no rush, just enjoy. We will go back - ABSOLUTELY. Would love to try a really cold few nights with one of the fireplace rooms. Thanks so much guys!! P.S. This was an anniversary gift to ourselves.....well worth it and so much more!!

We have been wanting to stay at the Gruene Mansion for years but we never found a room available when we planned to visit. I was fortunate to be able to book the Carriage Haus this past weekend so we could come and enjoy the Wine and Music Festival. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to use the outdoor patio and swing, but we thoroughly enjoyed the Carriage Haus and our stay. Great people (thanks Cecil!) and a great breakfast. We have another room booked for our 37th anniversary in November and we're looking forward to it!

We just returned from a two night stay in the Country Penthouse #15 and loved every minute of it!! Neither one of us had ever stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before so we weren't too sure what to expect. You all went above and beyond anything that we could have anticipated. We absolutely loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs. This was by far the most relaxing vacation we have been on and plan to make it an annual event. Thank you for the delicious breakfast and curtious staff. Ya'll really have it together!!!

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at the Gruene Mansion Inn, 2 nights in #7 Gast Haus and one in #13.

We loved every minute of it, even in the Texas summer. We knew Gruene was a great place to visit, but until we arrived, we did not realize how close and accessible the town attractions were to your facilities. We enjoyed floating the river, antique shopping, dancing the floors at Gruene Hall, dinner without driving around, and topping the night off by sitting on the curb downtown with an excellent scoop of ice cream from the General Store.

The rooms were beautiful, with a rustic charm and cleanliness. Your staff was awesome. The food was delicious. And we have recommended you to everyone we talk to about our stay.
Thank you for hosting and creating such an environment to enjoy our vacation.

We stayed in the Gruene Mansion Inn August '08 and we are planning another stay this August. Our group was large (needed 5 rooms) and we've talked about the place so much, this time we need 8 or 9! It was so fun to walk everywhere and run into our own crowd as well as the wonderful people of Gruene. We tubed 3 days and danced at Gruene Hall till closing. It was a great way to vacation with our college-bound kids the week before they left for school. None will ever forget it. Thank you Gruene Mansion Inn!

Melissa and Myself had a wonderful 2 nite stay in the River Tree loft. Best was the view of the river and enjoying sitting out in the rocking chairs and having an excellent breakfast provided by them.(LOVED the Cinnamon Rolls) The Grounds were beautiful and all the staff were wonderful. We also enjoyed having some Blue Bell ice cream over at the General Store and listening to the Band at Gruene Hall. The Grist Mill Had the best steaks and cooked just to our likeing. If you stay by the river keep a look out for the The Texas Spiney Lizards they are fun to watch (They are Harmless) We will be back in the Fall for another stay
